Scalpels and Tongues, Not The Same Thing
Scalpels are the tools of surgeons and a razor are used to cut a thin line without precision. When you are a surgeon a scalpel, is a small and extremely sharp bladed instrument used for surgery, anatomical dissection, and podiatry. Since it would be unsanitary to use your tongue for surgery lets let doctors who are trained to use scalpels treat us with sharp instruments. The Psalmist warns us that the tongue is prone or has a proclivity to create mischief and has a tenacity to work deceit. Since we are called to heal let's avoid cutting people with our razor sharp tongues and give heed to the words of this psalmist.
Psalm 52:2
The tongue deviseth mischiefs; like a sharp razor, working deceitfully.
Adonai, Master Over All (Deuteronomy 3:24); we thank You with deep attrition for the understanding that flows with understanding. We praise You for clarity in the encouragement on how to use our tongues. We decree and declare blessings with love, peace and joy, so that as we bring our tongues under subjection we will not devise mischief nor seek to work deceit. Now, for the sake of the Kingdom we pray, with an anointing in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, Amen.
