Truth and Consequences series

Desires Of The Heart

Conversations are drawn from the epitome of our conscience. Whatever we meditate upon centers our interest and concentrates our organization of thoughts to the initiatives of our dialog, in short what we talk about centers around how we live, in this case the “old man”, the unredeemed character that was engaged in self inflicted nonsense (SIN), full of foolishness and self interest, what the Bible calls “deceitful lusts.” As a born again believer we who are Kingdom minded are called to be renewed in the spirit of our mind. This requires a rebirth with His Holy Spirit by the action of spiritual baptism (Acts 19:2) which is a purging of what was to what we shall be in Truth.

Ephesians 4:21-23

If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus: That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;

Matthew 26:14-16

Then one of the twelve, called Judas Iscariot, went unto the chief priests, And said unto them, What will ye give me, and I will deliver him unto you? And they covenanted with him for thirty pieces of silver. And from that time he sought opportunity to betray him.

Immanuel (God with us, Isaiah 7:14); we have bridled the desires of our hearts to give thanks to You. We come in the spirit of oneness to honor the new man that You have birthed in us by Your Spirit. We decree and declare blessings upon those who claim victory in the Kingdom for Your Glory, so that by Your Mercy we can release ourselves from the “old man” and walk in the newness of life through the sacrifice of Christ. Now, for the sake of the Kingdom and for the Glory of God, we petition, with an anointing in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, Amen.
