Truth and Consequences series
Truth Is My Real Friend
In the era of false news we still have the truth, note the policy of Jesus not to be swayed by the powers of His day and His disinterest in the opinions of others that do not support Truth or the Wisdom of God. In contrast from the song to the choirmaster: with stringed instruments. A Maskil of David. We find that picking friends is a contention that requires divine intervention. Everyone will not be your friend and those who claim to be your friend in church, listening to the same Word, may harbor hate in their hearts for your advancements and accomplishments. We are not to be discouraged by the obvious but to understand that our worse enemy is ourselves and thus we must constantly seek His Truth for our deliverance.
Matthew 22:16
And they sent out unto him their disciples with the Herodians, saying, Master, we know that thou art true, and teachest the way of God in truth, neither carest thou for any man: for thou regardest not the person of men.
Psalm 55:1-23
For it was not an enemy that reproached me; then I could have borne it: neither was it he that hated me that did magnify himself against me; then I would have hid myself from him: But it was thou, a man mine equal, my guide, and mine acquaintance. We took sweet counsel together, and walked unto the house of God in company. Let death seize upon them, and let them go down quick into hell: for wickedness is in their dwellings, and among them.
Elohim Ozer Li, God My Helper (Psalm 54:4); for the understanding of Your Truth in the face of opinons of men we must hold to the Truth of Your Word for the affirmations of our lives and for this we thank You. For the Truth that we must harbor in our hearts for reproof, corrections and substantiation we give You praise. We decree and declare blessings for those who take heed to the Words that have been spoken for the wisdom of the Kingdom to bring prosperity to all who will adhere to Your Mercy and Grace. Now, for the sake of the Kingdom and for the Glory of God, we petition, with an anointing in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, Amen.
