Truth and Consequences series
The Truth of Prayer
The exposition of Daniel 9:4-19 reveals the acknowledgment for intercession for his nation, himself and the issues of self inflected nonsense (SIN). Mathew Henry would suggest that every prayer should have a penitent confession of inqunity, a humble admission that we are not worthy of the Goodness of God to align ourselves to the Glory of God, because we are only here to bring God Glory but our selfish desires countermand the spirit of God within us. The consequence of Daniel is found in 1 John 5:3, the Love of God, the Agape; this is were we who are subjected to the Holy Spirit will learn Love through Obedience. Learning to Love also requires learning obedience which demands self denial which is not the same temptation as winning $1.6 billion dollars in a lotto, this Love understands that all things come from God and are His to disrupt and control, we are only His vessels created in His likeness. God can bless you with more than $1.6 billion dollars any way He chooses and you won't have to hide the blessing.
Daniel 9:13
And whiles I was speaking, and praying, and confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel, and presenting my supplication before the Lord my God for the holy mountain of my God; Yea, whiles I was speaking in prayer, even the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, touched me about the time of the evening oblation.
1 John 5:3
For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.
Elohim Ozer Li, God My Helper (Psalm 54:4); for the kindness and nature of Love where we have sought to understand Thy Grace and Mercy we give thanks. For the awesome power of Your Spirit to teach us obedience where as we know in our testimonies the Goodness and Kindness of Your Spirit, we in a spirit of oneness give You praise. We declare and decree blessings upon those who know Your Kindness and Your Glory, so that we who have an expectancy for the Gifts that You give us to Glorify Your Kingdom will flourish in the Spirit of Humbleness. Now, for the sake of the Kingdom and for the Glory of God, we petition, with an anointing in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, Amen.
