Prepare Your Heart For Worship

Worship – The emphasis of Exodus 19:10-11 was the expectation of the presence of God and Moses, who was given explicit instruction on how to prepare for the occasion. They were told to sanctify themselves for 3 days. We won't elaborate on the details but it was obvious that they couldn't come the way the were. God demanded preparation but somewhere today we lose the importance of coming before God and sometimes forget the preparation of our hearts must be followed by the cleansing of our bodies and clothes.

This Old Testament passage is a teaching for those who would hear that in order to Worship you have to prepare. Preparation is not just on the inside but there is a outward or exterior indication that you are ready to receive the presence of the Lord. Come as you are but prepare for the His presence and be ready to receive His Glory.

The hack: put off the former ways, the things of your past and be renewed by His Spirit, be new in Jesus Christ. Ephesians 4:22-24

Exodus 19:10-11

And the LORD said unto Moses, Go unto the people, and sanctify them to day and to morrow, and let them wash their clothes, And be ready against the third day: for the third day the LORD will come down in the sight of all the people upon mount Sinai.

God in Heaven, Elohim Bashamayim (Joshua 2:11); we thank You for the heart of preparation where You have shown us in Your Word the way. We praise You for the greater sacrifice that allows us to be separated from the world not just by word but by the evidence of conviction of our hearts that formed by You. We decree and declare blessings upon those who bend the knee and take a stand for Holiness, so that the preparation of our bodies matches the commitment of our mouths for the sake of Kingdom Building. Now, for the sake of the Kingdom and for the Glory of God, we petition, with an anointing in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, Amen.
