Spoken Faith And No Works
If providence is an Divine action of God (Acts 2:24, Psalm 50:10), then our works has the responsibility for being the evidence of our faith. Faith can easily be spoken, but words don't supply the intent of our works, without some doable actions that can effect someone else. James 2:20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?
Knowing someone is hungry and praying for them is an insult when you turn into a drive thru and order a meal and go about your happy way; or when you go home with a car full of groceries and cook a feast and get the call from a friend and the only thing you say is "baby, let me pray for you and your babies."
Do we sit in our warm houses and watch people walk down cold, snow covered street in tattered clothes and shout out the window "be strong brother/sister?"
James 2:15-17
If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be [ye] warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what [doth it] profit? Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.
Holy Spirit, Ruach Hakkodesh (Psalm 51:11); we thank You for the acts of divine providence that strengthen our faith. We praise You for our work being responsible for being the evidence of our faith. We declare and decree blessings upon our brothers or sisters who are no longer naked and hungry because of acts of faith, so that by our works is our faith alive and becomes the evidence of faith with works. Now, for the sake of the Kingdom and for the Glory of God, we petition, with an anointing in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, Amen.
