Faith, The Lifestyle of Saints
Believe And Receive
There are considerable and influential movements in the Body of Christ that promote the ideology of prosperity- "name it and claim it" therapy. What they fail to emphasize is that the objective of prayer is to our opportunity to seek God for His Will. When we petition to do God's Will the "things" that we ask for are no longer humanistic or self-centric, but Kingdom focused and Kingdom building.
The second most crucial factor in this equation, (a statement that the values of two mathematical expressions are equal) is belief. The lack of belief is one of the key culprits in the conspiracy concerning prayer or the petition of seeking the Will of God in our lives.
When the focus of asking in prayer becomes personal, we lose the focus of the objective and the purpose of prayer, it becomes personal, because what we want is not what God wants and is not consistent with the Word of God. If we live for Him, then what we want is not our focus, but like Jesus, we seek what He wants us to do for the Kingdom of God by choice.
Matthew 21:22
And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.
The Faithful God, El Emunah (Deuteronomy 7:9); we thank You for the conviction of Your Word wherein we find and embrace knowledge. We praise You for the things that we ask, believing that we fulfill Your Will. We decree and declare blessings upon those who search and learn Your Word to bring us closer to You, so that; all things that we ask focus us upon the Kingdom and its work. Now, for the sake of the Kingdom and the Glory of God, we petition, with an anointing in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Savior, Amen.
