Be An Example of Faith
Paul's words to Timothy relates to his advice to Timothy's maturity as he was doing the work of the Lord and a warning about people who wanted to question his character and ability to deliver the Gospel.
When you are young in the Gospel it is wise to have someone who has been in the "way" longer than you have to give guidance and direction. They should be an example in the things that you need to learn, the ways of the Word, Holy Conversation, in Brotherly Love (charity), in Spirit (Holy Spirit), in His Faith, and in Purity. All these things point to maturity in the walk of Christ.
When we put away childish things (1 Corinthians 13:11) and leave the milk of our mothers (1 Corinthians 3:2) and stand in the maturity of our Savior as a mature person (Ecclesiastics 11:10) then we can represent a true example of Jesus Christ.
1 Timothy 4:12
Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.
The Branch of the Lord, Jehovah Tsemach (Isaiah 4:2); we thank You for the tender mercies of maturity, wherein we grow in the Lord and the power of His might. We praise You for the integrity of our youth and the sincere wisdom we have gained at Your teaching. We decree and declare blessings upon those who hear the advice of strong counsel, so that; the production of our acts by Faith exemplify the Word, communication, charity, Spirit, Faith and purity that honors the Kingdom of God. Now, for the sake of the Kingdom and for the Glory of God, we petition, with an anointing in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Savior, Amen.
