Faith, The Lifestyle of Saints
Mustard In Your Faith Without examining the pretext, Matthew 17:20 appears to quantify faith by size; however, the truth lies in the part A of this verse framed with these words: "because of your unbelief…" it's the answer is to the question in the previous verse presented by His disciples.
The disciples were perturbed by the lack of demonstrable power for casting out the demon possessing a child identified as a lunatic, who also had a problem with falling into fire and water (Matthew 17:15-16). The father told on the disciples whose pride had experienced fire and water issues as well.
We traditionally focus on extracting the "grain of mustard" as the sizable measure for faith, but with the pretext in hand, the unbelief spoken by Jesus floats to the top of this churn for closer examination. With the lack of belief brought to the forefront, the size of Faith will lead us to the realization that the real focus should be on purpose, instead of the benefit of Faith.
Matthew 17:20 And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place, and; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.
The Living God, Elohim Chayim (Joshua 3:10); we thank You for the establishment of understanding the Truth about Faith. We praise You for the revealing purpose in the statement of the mustard seed. We decree and declare blessings upon those who examine the Word for purpose., so that; the people of the Kingdom are not swayed by false doctrine. Now, for the sake of the Kingdom and the Glory of God, we petition, with anointing in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Savior, Amen.
