Are Your Instincts The Enemy Within?

The narrative of Balaam, the prophet of God, is strange and contains much that needs examination. Balaam is a prophet who is not from Israel but yet spoke with God. He had the divine providence because He sought the Lord, and God honored him (Numbers 22:18). Balaam had instincts that lead him to be obedient to God. Balaam served as a type of Christ; he was tempted three times (Numbers 22:32).

This provocative story illustrates the often forgotten lesson that when God says no, He means no, not maybe, not wait a while, but a firm no! To continue to press when He says no is risking your life, spiritually and naturally (Numbers 22:33). Check your instincts, are they leading you into a path where danger lies ahead? Will the voice of God speak to your heart?

Numbers 22:12

And God said unto Balaam, Thou shalt not go with them; thou shalt not curse the people: for they are blessed.

God of My Righteousness, Elohe Tsadeki (Psalm 4:1), we thank You for the hearing of Your Word, wherein we confirm our actions. We praise You for the instinct to wait for the confirmation of Your Word to act with obedience. We decree and declare blessings upon those who acknowledge Your Wisdom, so that; by the understanding of Your Word, we establish our pathology of direction for building experience with Agape Love. Now, for the Kingdom and the Glory of God, we petition, with anointing in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Savior, Amen.
