Faith, The Lifestyle of the Saints
Contentment Of Godliness
The intent of Godliness is the attribute of acting like God, which is a tremendous and fantastic gain (John 6:63) all by itself. Most of us depend on the Human Factor for sensual satisfaction; however, sensual pleasure will only benefit the soul and not the spirit. God dwells in the incorruption of man which He breathed into man's nostrils (Genesis 2:7) his spirit.
Addressing contentment is a huge task, and giving it the attention it is due in this verse, we will focus on His enlightenment of contentment, a mental or emotional state of satisfaction and happiness. Philippians 4:11-13, Matthew 6:25-26, Hebrews 13:5, Luke 12:15, all attest to the understanding of adjusting to our state of Christian peace and happiness which is not based in carnal achievements.
The world sees a great gain as the things that money can buy, but Godliness is far beyond the power of money it is contained in the Peace of God. Philippians 4:7 exclaims that the Peace of God is beyond all understanding. Finding contentment in the Peace of God can only be obtained by Faith in Jesus Christ, which requires works of Faith and not laziness.
1 Timothy 6:6
But godliness with contentment is great gain.
God of my praise, Elohei Tehillati (Psalm 109:1); we thank You for enlightenment about contentment. We praise You for our state of emotional wherein You we find peace, joy, and happiness through Christ. We decree and declare blessings upon those who seek contentment through Jesus Christ by His Spirit, so that; the increase of the Kingdom of God flourishes with those subscribe to spiritual contentment. Now, for the sake of the Kingdom and the Glory of God, we petition, with anointing in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Savior, Amen.
