Out of the Mouths of Fish- Performance of Jesus
Fish with the coin – in this performance of Jesus, we observe Jesus directing Peter to take money out of the mouth of the first fish to provide payment for the temple assessment. The act of paying the temple tax (Exodus 30:13-14; 2 Chronicles 24:6-9) has multiple points for consideration, even though Jesus didn’t owe the tax, he paid it. He not only paid it for Himself, But He also paid for Peter as well. God made provision for the sacrifice through the fish, and the fish is the symbol of Christ. Jesus was the provision for our self-inflicted nonsense (SIN) and paid the price that He did not have to pay.
The inspired image of the fish represents IXИYУ, an acronym of the first letter of words that mean “Jesus Christ God’s Son is Savior.” In one act, Jesus sets several actions in place. We can only duplicate this with the help of the Holy Ghost. Our True potential can only be realized by the implementation of everything that He has demonstrated to us for the benefit of the Kingdom. We only find His Testimony in the Word (1 Peter 1:10).
His sacrifice, the evidence of His capacity to offer provision, His Humility, His Grace, everything that Jesus did is an example of His performance, His works that we as Christians are required to do by faith.
Matthew 17:24-27
And when they were come to Capernaum, they that received tribute [money] came to Peter, and said, Doth not your master pay tribute? He saith, Yes. And when he was come into the house, Jesus prevented him, saying, What thinkest thou, Simon? of whom do the kings of the earth take custom or tribute? of their own children, or of strangers? Peter saith unto him, Of strangers. Jesus saith unto him, Then are the children free. Notwithstanding, lest we should offend them, go thou to the sea, and cast an hook, and take up the fish that first cometh up; and when thou hast opened his mouth, thou shalt find a piece of money: that take, and give unto them for me and thee.
The LORD my Refuge, Jehovah Machsi (Psalm 91:9), we thank You for our tribute to the Lifestyle of Faith. We praise You for the prevention of our circumstances. We decree and declare blessings upon those who have the capacity to see the opportunity to offend non believers, so that; by using hooks of Love instead of nets we individualize our evangelistic efforts for the Kingdom of God. Now, for the Kingdom and the Glory of God, we petition, with anointing in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Savior, Amen.
