Instinct series
Do Your Instincts Enable You to Cope?
Our capacity to handle difficult situations is incorporated in our ability to cope. King David, in 2 Samuel 12:18, was facing the impending death of his child by the wife of Uriah the Hittite. The amazing observation of David's servant was his actions after his child died-- David coped!
We who have a hope in Christ Jesus, amaze the world, because our hope is not in things of this world, but imbedded in the promises of God Almighty (Romans 8:18). Our instinct is affected by the choices that we make (Joshua 24:15). To choose life is to choose Christ, 1 Peter 1:3-4.
2 Samuel 12:18-19
And it came to pass on the seventh day, that the child died. And the servants of David feared to tell him that the child was dead: for they said, Behold, while the child was yet alive, we spake unto him, and he would not hearken unto our voice: how will he then vex himself, if we tell him that the child is dead? But when David saw that his servants whispered, David perceived that the child was dead: therefore David said unto his servants, Is the child dead? And they said, He is dead.
God of My Salvation, Elohe Tishuathi (Psalm 51:14), we thank You for the capacity and ability to handle issues of the heart. We praise You for the instinct to process the results of our mistakes and errors. We decree and declare blessings upon those who stand in Christ by choice, so that; by the unction of the Holy Ghost we who walk in the Word of God overcome the cares of this world. Now, for the Kingdom and the Glory of God, we petition, with anointing in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Savior, Amen.
