Efficiency In Performance

Looking deeper, we see that making fewer steps leads to efficiency in a process. David prayed: One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple. Psalm 27:4 Just one thing, David asked of the Lord, and that became his focus.

Most Christians work to impress God in His Kingdom because that is what we have learned. But God is impressed with the efficiency of our works, not the quantity. As a child, I watched Pentecostal prayer lines with everybody in the building seeking deliverance or freedom from one thing or another and the preacher praying for everybody in the building.

Is this what Jesus did as a demonstration of performance inefficiency, the answer is in Mark 1:32:34. If you read very carefully, the people brought all that were diseased and possessed, but Jesus only healed "many." Jesus only did what the Father showed Him to do (John 5:19-20). Are you doing too much in the name of God?

Mark 1:32-34

And at even, when the sun did set, they brought unto him all that were diseased, and them that were possessed with devils. And all the city was gathered together at the door. And he healed many that were sick of divers diseases, and cast out many devils; and suffered not the devils to speak, because they knew him.

LORD God of Hosts, Jehovah Elohim Tsaba (Psalm 59:5), we thank You for our steps in Christian efficiency. We praise You for the one thing that we have done well as the desire of Your heart. We decree and declare blessings upon those who heed Your Voice and follow Your Ways, so that; following the example of Jesus, we will be effective. Now, for the Kingdom and the Glory of God; we petition, anointing in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Savior, Amen.
