Find The Truth, The Invitation (06)
Matthew 11:25-30
At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes. Even so, Father: for so it seemed good in thy sight. All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him. Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
At this point, Jesus has established several things; He addressed His Father as the Lord of Heaven and earth. He prayed about the ministry that God hid from the wise and prudent, praised God for the things of His Glory, thanked God for authority, plenipotentiary delivered to Him, declared and proclaimed the intimacy of their relationship. Now He offers an invitation "Come unto me," who? "All that labor and are doing the work of the Lord." The result of the labor is to rest in Jesus. Could there be a greater reward than the rest of Jesus?
Jehovah Chereb, The LORD… the Sword - Deuteronomy 33:29; we thank You Lord of the Sword, who divides the wheat from the tare, protector of the weak. We praise You for offering us through Your Son qualified rest. We decree and declare the blessing (the indwelling of the Holy Spirit) upon those who accept the invitation to work in the Kingdom of God, so that; in Jesus, we will find qualified rest. Now, for the Kingdom and Glory of God, we petition, with anointing, in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Savior, Amen.
