Hope In Wisdom

Troubled Times (COVID-19 pandemic series)

There are times in life that it feels like the future looks grim. These are significant passages on Hope to read from the Bible to lift you and encouraged you today.

Hope In Wisdom

1 Peter 5:5-7

Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble. Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

The young lack experience and knowledge, whereas the elders have been exposed to life, have experience and wisdom, and God commands us to be humble and submit to each other. In humility, there is hope for learning and coming through involvement with the reality of care. Being cared for by elders is an extension of God’s care for us. The critical point is to ensure that the elders who care for you are godly. God hates the proud, so be humble.

Holy Guide, John 16:13. The Spirit guides believers to know and understand Truth. Those who belong to Christ have the indwelling Spirit who guides us into all we need to know concerning spiritual matters. Those who do not belong to Christ have no “interpreter” to guide them to know and understand God’s Word, and for this, we give thanks. For the elders who provide us with guidance and Godly counsel with a humble spirit, we give You praise. We decree and declare the blessing (the indwelling of the Holy Spirit) upon those who look for hope in the counsel of elders, so that; the presence of God may be glorified and proven. Now, for the Kingdom and Glory of God, we petition, with anointing, in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Savior, Amen.
