How Close Are You To God?

Troubled Times (COVID-19 pandemic series)

There are times in life that it feels like the future looks grim. These are significant passages on Hope to read from the Bible to lift you and encouraged you today.

How Close Are You To God?

Psalm 145:18-19

The LORD [is] nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth. He will fulfil the desire of them that fear him: he also will hear their cry, and will save them.

Our proximity to God is a variable that fluctuates. We come near, and we wander far, it’s a human trait, it’s our self-inflicted nonsense (SIN) disease. The Psalmist saw a situation of unbalanced reality, we wave back and forth, coming close and drifting far away, but the Hope of Salvation come with reverence and a heart for righteousness. He will save them that are close to Him.

Deposit / Seal / Earnest, 2 Corinthians 1:22; 5:5; Ephesians 1:13-14. The Holy Spirit is God’s seal on His people, His claim on us as His very own. It is the Holy Spirit that seals us, that we are assured of our salvation. No one can break the seal of God, and for that, we give Him thanks. For the Grace of His Mercy draw us nearer Dear Lord that we might give You the praise. We declare and decree the blessing (the indwelling of the Holy Spirit) upon those who hear the voice of the Savior calling, so that; the safety of the Almighty will fill us with His Comfort and His Peace. Now, for the Kingdom and Glory of God, we petition, with anointing, in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Savior, Amen.
