Troubled Times (COVID-19 pandemic series)
The following Bible verses on being strong show us biblical examples of strength and the faith it takes to trust in God so completely that He is your strength. Imagine how much faith it took for Abraham to be willing to sacrifice his long-awaited son Isaac.
How To Stay Strong
1 Samuel 30:6
And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the LORD his God.
During this season of discomfort and stress, we reference the examples of strength shown in various personages of Biblical people. King David is our reference in 1 Samuel 30 as he shows us the fortitude of strength in distress. People will find a reason to persecute you; however, as a child of God, you must stay strong. How did David do it, he encouraged himself in the Lord. When God is your Lord finding comfort in His Word is our source of strength. Take time to read His Word.
Elohim Chaseddi, The God of My Mercy- Psalm 59:10; King David exemplifies what we should do when facing adversity seek the Will of God and give Him thanks. We raise with glad voices our praise with a spirit of oneness. We declare and decree the blessing (the indwelling of the Holy Spirit) upon those who avoid the stress and weakness of understanding God's purpose, so that; only the faithful will fulfill His needs. Now, for the Kingdom and Glory of God, we petition, with anointing, in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Savior, Amen.
