In Their Trouble - 2

Psalms 107:19-21

Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and He saveth them out of their distresses. He sent out his word and healed them; he rescued them from the grave. Let them give thanks to the LORD for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for mankind.

A result of crying to the Lord is that He will save us from our distress (1 Peter 3:12). Our distress requires accountability of evaluation. Commonly distress is described as extreme anxiety. At the far end of anxiety is a feeling of worry, nervousness, or unease, typically about an imminent event or something with an uncertain outcome (Genesis 3:7). Is this a description of how you feel out of the Will of God (Romans 12:2, Jeremiah 29:11-13)? Is our trouble being in an environment that deflects the hope of Jesus?

El Shaddai, Almighty God - Genesis 17:1, 2; we thank you for being our Almighty God, the one who covers us in everything. We praise You for our salvation despite our nervousness to Trust You. We declare and decree the blessing (the indwelling of the Holy Spirit) upon those who know Your Salvation; so that, as we increase in our Trust of You, we surrender the pain of distress. Now, for the Kingdom and Glory of God, we petition, with the anointing of the Holy Ghost, in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Savior, Amen.
