Performance In Christianity series
Initiative For Performance
Looking deeper, Proverbs 10:4, He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent maketh rich. The initiative of a diligent hand is the hand of a worker, someone who will grasp the opportunity to take charge of something and treat it with ownership. The word "rich" indicates wealth and prosperity.
Initiative sponsors purpose, Acts 22:10, And I said, What shall I do, Lord? And the Lord said unto me, Arise, and go into Damascus; and there it shall be told thee of all things which are appointed for thee to do. This narrative is the biography of Saul's conversion to becoming Paul (influencer of the New Testament Church). The question, "what shall I do, Lord" is the empowerment of his Christian performance for it engages the passage of James 4:17. If we are to know what to do, we must ask of the Lord.
Jesus led us to this prescription as He went to God early in the morning (John 5:20) or before He invoked on a mission to meet the Glory of God (2 Peter 1:16-21). Knowing God is the precursor to performance for only what God has shown us through His Holy Ghost will bring the proper initiative for Christian performance.
James 4:17
Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.
The LORD, the Most High God, The Jehovah El Elyon (Genesis 14:22), we thank You for the precursor of revelation knowledge or Rhema Word. We praise You for the aptitude of the proper initiative. We decree and declare blessings upon those who strive to set the platform of Holy Initiative, so that; by acting with foreknowledge of Your Will, we strike down every unkind word and indirective placed in the path of Righteousness. Now, for the Kingdom and the Glory of God, we petition, with anointing in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Savior, Amen. http://tonyevans.org/praying-and-pronouncing-the-names-of-god/
