Troubled Times (COVID-19 pandemic series)
Hope of Eternal Life and Salvation
Looking At Things Unseen!
2 Corinthians 4:16-18
For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward [man] is renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding [and] eternal weight of glory; While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen [are] temporal; but the things which are not seen [are] eternal.
On the surface the overhanging gloom of the COVID-19 pandemic seems impossible but there are wars and rumors of wars (Matthew 24:6) looming in the news everyday. The persistent nagging of false promises, fancy financial arrangements benefiting the rich instead of the needy; all of these things reflect the attention of the outward man (2 Corinthians 4:16). The promise (2 Corinthians 4:14) of being raised from the dead like Jesus should give all of us comfort. Galations 2:20b …and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.
Merciful God —Deuteronomy 4:29-31. God’s merciful compassion is infinite and inexhaustible. Through Christ, He took the judgment that was rightfully ours and placed it on His own shoulders. He waits and works now for all people to turn to Him and to live under His justification. For with the strenght of Jesus we raise our voice to give thanks for the Grace and Mercy of your sacrifice. For the evidence of Your Love in our time of crisis, we raise our humble voices in praise. We declare and decree heavenly blessings upon those who read Your Word and find comfort during our darkest hours, so that; Your Light shines brightly in our souls and lifts our spirits. Now, for the Kingdom and Glory of God; we petition, with anointing, in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Savior, Amen.
