Predictions of Golgotha
The prophet Joel spoke of the events to come at Golgotha hill, at least 400 years before it happen "a day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness…" all describing the unique set of catastrophic developments at the time of the crucifixion. It was spoken of and after a period of time probably forgotten; however, the promises of God continue until it is time, time for His fulfillment.
Joel 2:1-2
Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the Lord cometh, for it is nigh at hand; A day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness, as the morning spread upon the mountains: a great people and a strong; there hath not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after it, even to the years of many generations.
God with us (Isaiah 7:14), the alarm has been sounded, and we tremble, and yet we cry out thank You for the day of the Lord comes. In the day of darkness and gloom, a day of clouds and thick darkness, the mountains groan for the sacrifice made, and we give You praise. We decree and declare blessings upon those who wait on the Lord for He shall renew their strength, and we shall mount up with wings as an eagle; we shall run and not be faint; so that, every generation will have a witness on earth and in heaven. Now, for Your Kingdom and the Glory of God, we petition with the anointing, the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Savior, Amen.
