Questioning Your Destiny?
Some of us question our future for a lack of understanding of the promises of God. As a child of God, we are entitled to whatever He has because we are heirs and joint-heirs with Christ (Romans 8:17). It is human nature to question things that we because we think we may discover something new, however in this text from Jeremiah the intent is to establish what we can expect from God Almighty and here are seven things: Presence (Psalm 5:3), Peace (John 14:27), Protection (Psalm 5:11), Promises (Deuteronomy 4:3), Power (Acts 1:8), Promotion (Psalm 75:6-8) and, Provision (Genesis 42:25).
We extract from an article by Alan George (4 Things You Need to Know About Your Destiny); 1- Destiny will be costly (Genesis 12:1, Proverbs 3:5-6). 2- God will fulfill your destiny (Genesis 12:2, Ephesians 3:20). 3- Your destiny is not for you alone (Genesis 12:3, James 4:8). 4- We choose our destiny (Genesis 12:4, Galatians 6:7-8). The bottom line doesn't assume that God controls your destiny unless you commit your life to Christ!
Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
Most Exalted One, we thank You with honor for Your unmerited Grace and Mercy. We praise You for Your thoughts toward us, thoughts of peace and not of evil. We decree and declare blessings upon those who stand on the promises of God to the bema seat of Christ, so that; by the manifestation of Your Glory can be revealed in the revelation of our destiny for the work in the Kingdom of God. Now, for the Kingdom and the Glory of God, we petition, with anointing in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Savior, Amen.
