Healing Pain During Covid-19
These verses collectively and individually address our pain, how we identify with adversity and answers from God. This collection of comforting scriptures will help guide you toward whole and complete healing.
The Call For The Afflicted, 2
James 5:13-18
Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms. Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. Confess [your] faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months.
In continuation of this passage, we are encouraged to press on with the "merry," those who are cheerful. The Word directs them to sing psalms. Psalms are powerful songs of testimony. King David gives God praise with his testimonial songs. As we have said in earlier commentary, these songs reinforce and fortify the memory with repetitious reminders of what God has done, is doing, and will do for you. Philippians 4:6-7, if you can be merry, He has given you peace. How do you know Him and not want to sing to Him?
Elohei Haelohim, The God of gods - Deuteronomy 10:17; we thank You for being the God of gods. We praise You for giving us a platform to be merry. Therefore, we declare and decree the blessing (the indwelling of the Holy Spirit) upon those who have positioned themselves to be optimistic; so that, we who are merry can sing psalms of victory. Now, for the Kingdom and Glory of God, we petition, with the anointing of the Holy Ghost, in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Savior, Amen.
