The Call For The Afflicted, 5a

James 5:13-18

Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms. Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. Confess [your] faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months.

In Hebrew, Elias (N.T. Greek), Elijah the Tishbite, called for a drought (no rain for a few years), causing big trouble in Israel. However, Elijah understood the heart of God. Because Israel was acting out of His Will, God sent a prophet paying attention to His people and their proletarian attitude. This passage points to Dr. Myles Monroe's philosophy that God needs a person to legally conduct business here on earth because God said "let them rule" (Genesis 1:26), establishing the dominion of man over the affairs of the earth. Will you hear the voice of God and do His will?

Jehovah El Elohim, The LORD God of gods, the LORD, mighty, powerful, strong One overall - Joshua 22:22; we thank You for being the Lord God of gods, the Lord, mighty, powerful, strong One overall. We praise You for the revelation of the dominion of man and your sovereignty on earth. Therefore, we declare and decree the blessing (the indwelling of the Holy Spirit) upon those who illuminate the Truth of God; so that, we who seek to do His will legitimize His sovereignty in the earth. Now, for the Kingdom and Glory of God, we petition, with the anointing of the Holy Ghost, in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Savior, Amen.
