The Future of Pain
Revelation 21:1-4
And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
Setting the background for verse four, we read verse one, the Apostle John's revelation where he saw a new heaven and new earth (Revelation 21:5). The type of encounter in this verse will be in a place where God has cleaned the atmosphere and the planet to a state of before SIN (Jamieson, Fausset & Brown). The inclusion of the passing of the first heaven and the first earth suggests that the new world is without SIN and contamination. Will you see the new heaven and earth?
Elohe Yakob, God of Jacob - Psalm 20:1; we thank You for being the God of Jacob. We praise You for allowing us to see the new heaven and earth. We declare and decree the blessing (the indwelling of the Holy Spirit) upon those who have the vision and sight for the new heaven and earth; so that, as we release our pain to Jesus, we surrender the stress of pain. Now, for the Kingdom and Glory of God, we petition, with the anointing of the Holy Ghost, in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, Amen.
