The Provisions of God -5

Philippians 4:10-13

But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at the last your care of me hath flourished again; wherein ye were also careful, but ye lacked opportunity. Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, [therewith] to be content. I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

Paul continues to lead us on a path of clear understanding of the healing power of God (Exodus 15:26). He states that everywhere and in all things, he follows the leading of the Lord to be full and to be hungry. This passage of scripture may sound like an oxymoron, but when you unpack it, you discover a mystery of life wrapped up in the understanding of God's provision (1 John 1:9). God heals as only He can, and when you are full of His Spirit, you can still hunger after the Word. This position will reveal a curious event that only happens in the life of a child of God (Ecclesiasticus 3:23). Can you be hungry and full at the same time?

Esh Oklah, A Consuming Fire - Deuteronomy 4:24; we thank You for being our Consuming Fire. We praise you for revealing unto us how to be full and hungry at the same time. We declare and decree the blessing (the indwelling of the Holy Spirit) upon those who hear the words of instruction; so that, then in the Spirit, we find hunger and fulfillment. Now, for the Kingdom and Glory of God, we petition, with the anointing of the Holy Ghost, in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, Amen.
