Performance In Christianity series
The Real Metrics 3
When it comes to performance in Christianity, the idea of metrics appear intangible. Actually, after a survey, we have established an understanding that this is an undiscovered territory. There is strong resistance to performing works because we have not emphasized the necessity of Faith. The essential element to evaluating metrics is a performance, and without "work," there isn't a platform.
Is every work the same? Is the Faith of Christ the same in every person? The complications are idealistic, but the answer is no. Every work must be measured as well as the Faith that makes them possible. No good thing will He withhold from them that walk uprightly (Psalm 84:10b). The metrics encompass a collection of measurements in our Christian walk to expose our progress.
In the chapter of Matthew 5 , we find a remarkable and beautiful metric for Christian performance. In verses 1-13 the Beatitudes, and in verses 14-48 (Jamieson, Fausset & Brown) a defined set of standards for Christian performance goals, promises, principles and contrasts that clearly require exegetical analysis. Will you face the challenge of Christian performance by addressing the lumens of His Light in you?
Matthew 5:16
Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
LORD God of Hosts, Jehovah Elohim Tsaba (Psalm 59:5), we thank You for the metrics of Christian luminance. We praise You for revealing the Light in Christian performance. We decree and declare blessings upon those who measure lumens of Light, so that; with the strength of Your Light, we find our way. Now, for the Kingdom and the Glory of God, we petition, with anointing in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Savior, Amen.
