The Season of Healing (Time to Cast Away Stones and a Time to Gather)

Spiritual and Emotional Healing

Sin, abuse, neglect, rejection, betrayal all cause significant emotional and spiritual pain that hurt just as physical pain does. God, our Great Physician, can ultimately heal our broken hearts and bind our wounds, healing, and making us whole. Spiritual and emotional healing is often a process with steps that we need to put action behind. Use these scriptures to guide your heart and mind toward full recovery.

The Season of Healing (Time to Cast Away Stones and a Time to Gather)

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

To everything [there is] a season, A time for every purpose under heaven: A time to be born, And a time to die; A time to plant, And a time to pluck [what is] planted; A time to kill, And a time to heal; A time to break down, And a time to build up; A time to weep, And a time to laugh; A time to mourn, And a time to dance; A time to cast away stones, And a time to gather stones; A time to embrace, And a time to refrain from embracing; A time to gain, And a time to lose; A time to keep, And a time to throw away; A time to tear, And a time to sew; A time to keep silence, And a time to speak; A time to love, And a time to hate; A time of war, And a time of peace.

A season to cast away stone indicated the tearing down of walls. Psychologically we build walls in our hearts and minds and compartmentalize our feelings and emotions. When we come to God, we should tear down the walls in our hearts and allow Him to establish in us His will. In the season to gather stone, we must keep in mind Song of Solomon 2:15; the little foxes spoil the vine when God has established the presence of His Son in our lives we need to gather stones to build walls of sanctification to keep the little foxes away for the fruits of the Spirit that come from the true vine. Do you know when to build walls with the stones of sound doctrine?

El Kanna, Jealous God - Exodus 20:5; we thank for being our Jealous God, concerned for our purpose and Your Glory. We praise You for the seasons of time where You have established Your Purpose and Your Will. We decree and declare the blessing (the indwelling of the Holy Spirit) upon those who understand the seasons of God for protection, so that; we who receive the Purpose of God will protect it. Now, for the Kingdom and Glory of God, we petition, with anointing, in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Savior, Amen.
