The Season of Healing (Time to Kill and Heal)
Ecclesiastes 3:1-8
To everything [there is] a season, A time for every purpose under heaven: A time to be born, And a time to die; A time to plant, And a time to pluck [what is] planted; A time to kill, And a time to heal; A time to break down, And a time to build up; A time to weep, And a time to laugh; A time to mourn, And a time to dance; A time to cast away stones, And a time to gather stones; A time to embrace, And a time to refrain from embracing; A time to gain, And a time to lose; A time to keep, And a time to throw away; A time to tear, And a time to sew; A time to keep silence, And a time to speak; A time to love, And a time to hate; A time of war, And a time of peace.
In the apparent episodic pattern, we observe in these passages what appears to be Taoism but is not! God doesn’t need evil to make good, and this trade-off of opposites lends us a more in-depth examination of how great God is. Earthly pursuits appear to be lawful, but God works in seasons or purpose called Kairos and a time to kill, emotes the spiritual thought that the common in you requires execution. What must die so that Christ can live within you? There is a “b” part of this Kairos, and that is a time to heal. Healing is a process that takes time, and in consideration of filling the holes of self-inflicted nonsense in our lives, we need a season to heal. Killing is a deliberate act or propensity of causing death in spiritual or natural terms; however, we look to use anthropomorphism as a deflection of our wants to impress ourselves with our desires. Can you kill things like the infection of Covid-19 that are not of God within you?
El Hakabodh, The God of Glory - Psalm 29:3; we thank You for Your Glory, dear God, and how you lead us past our reflections. We praise You for the impartation of Your Spirit, who reveals to us the value of Your Word. We declare and decree the blessing (the indwelling of the Holy Spirit) upon those who embrace Kairos for the Spirit of God through Jesus gives us growth, so that; we who planted for the harvest will bring glory for the Kingdom of God. Now, for the Kingdom and Glory of God, we petition, with anointing, in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Savior, Amen.
