The Strength of The Lord - 6
Psalm 41:1-4
[[To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David.]] Blessed is he that considereth the poor: the LORD will deliver him in time of trouble. The LORD will preserve him, and keep him alive; and he shall be blessed upon the earth: and thou wilt not deliver him unto the will of his enemies. The LORD will strengthen him upon the bed of languishing: thou wilt make all his bed in his sickness. I said, LORD, be merciful unto me: heal my soul; for I have sinned against thee.
King David wrote this song and continues to elucidate the Lord’s kindness even to the point of his weakness with this last verse in Psalm 41:4. David began the passage with an announcement that those who consider the poor will be blessed (Matthew 5:3-4), and the peace of God will be upon them in the time of trouble (Philippians 4:7). He continues with proclamations of promises of the Lord, deliverance, blessings, life, strength on the bed of languishing, and the Lord will make our beds during our sickness (Psalms 41:1-4). Who wouldn’t serve a God like this?
Go’el, Kinsman Redeemer - Exodus 15:13; we thank You for being our Kinsman Redeemer- Go’el. We praise You for Your mercy. We decree and declare the blessing (the indwelling of the Holy Spirit) upon those who find the mercy of the Lord; so that, we who have sinned will seek healing of our souls. Now, for the Kingdom and Glory of God, we petition, with the anointing of the Holy Ghost, in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Savior, Amen.
