Spiritual and Emotional Healing
Sin, abuse, neglect, rejection, betrayal all cause significant emotional and spiritual pain that hurt just as physical pain does. God, our Great Physician, can ultimately heal our broken hearts and bind our wounds, healing, and making us whole. Spiritual and emotional healing is often a process with steps that we need to put action behind. Use these scriptures to guide your heart and mind toward full recovery.

The Sympathy of Grace
James 5:16
Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms. Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
If you are struggling with the understanding of Grace, seek the Word for wisdom. When we are in a difficult place, we are instructed to confess our faults to each other. The actions sound doable, but our flesh resists the effort because it demands humbleness. Praying and confessing to each other requires intimacy, and we choose not to be vulnerable in any way, even in the face of a righteous man. Are we to be concerned about our sisters and brothers suffering from issues that are emotional and spiritual? Can the prayer of Faith raise us to the level of counting on the righteous and caring for the afflicted?
El Rai, God Seest Me - Genesis 16:13; we thank You for seeing us in our life situations. We praise You for the directions of prayer in Faith. We decree and declare the blessing (the indwelling of the Holy Spirit) upon those who pray the prayer of Faith, so that; we who are inclined to recover from affliction will be healed. Now, for the Kingdom and Glory of God, we petition, with anointing, in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, Amen.
