To Avoid Temptation

1 Corinthians 10:13

There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

The intrigue of temptation beguiles our souls to the point of consideration at the expense of wisdom. Some attractions bend the minds and hearts of humanity, but they are not without a way of avoidance. Are you tempted, or do you search for The Way, The Truth, and the Light?

C.S. Lewis:

We do not want to merely “see” beauty–though, God knows, even that is bounty enough. We want something else which can hardly be put into words–to be united with the beauty we see, to pass into it, to receive it into ourselves, to bathe in it, to become part of it.

Jehovah Shammah (The Lord Is There) Ezekiel 48:35. Shammah is an adverb that means there, although when used with time, it means then. Together Jehovah Shammah means The Lord is There. God revealed this name at a time when Israel was in rebellion and captivity. God was letting the Jews know that he had not forsaken them and that he was still there, both in their present as well as in their future. Regardless of what you are going through, or what you are heading into, you can take comfort knowing that God is already there and give Him beautiful thanks. For the omnipotent feeling of joy cruising through our veins, we lift a spirit of praise for our Lord and Savior. We decree and declare an eternal blessing upon those who know that all temptation is common to man, so that; by the suffering of the flesh we are troubled to find the way of escape, The Way, The Truth, and the Light. Now, for the Kingdom and Glory of God, we petition, with anointing, in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Savior, Amen.
