When You Need Courage?

The obvious need for courage is a seat in the emotion of fear. Deuteronomy 31:8, keeps it 100, He (God through Jesus and His Holy Spirit) will never leave nor forsake us; keeping it real, we leave and forsake Him. Our need to be courageous comes from a place where fear is localized and prominent in areas of our lives.

The key to recovery or establishing a basis for victory is in Joshua 1:6, the Hebrew prophet encourages us to be strong and to have good courage. Moses was dead and God told Joshua to go across the Jordan and take the people of God with him and God keep the promise that He gave to Moses (Joshua 1:3) and in verse 5, God re-establishes the covenant with the condition of observing the Law. In verse 8, we are told to meditate day and night that our way will be prosperous and have good success.

There is an importance in this story of Joshua emphasized in verse 6, be strong and of good courage and in verse 7, be strong and very courageous to follow the Law; but today we are blessed to live by Faith with Grace, (2 Corinthians 6:1, 2 Peter 3:17, Hebrews 3:19, 4:1-3).

Joshua 1:6

Be strong and of a good courage: for unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give them.

Dear Lord, we thank you with oneness in the Spirit, for strength and courage. We praise you for our share of the inheritance which is in the Promised Land. We decree and declare blessings upon those who walk by the promise that you made our spiritual fathers, so that; the manifestation of strength and very courageous acts will lead the workers in Kingdom of God. Now, for the Kingdom and the Glory of God, we petition, with anointing in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Savior, Amen.
