When You've Lost Sight of Your Opportunity?
Opportunities don't come without capacity. Little opportunities, need little capacity; big opportunities, need big capacity. An opportunity is a chance for employment, a set of circumstances that makes it possible to do something that we could not ordinarily do by our initiative. This is one of the reasons that opportunities are so valuable. "If a window of opportunity appears, don't pull down the shade." Tom Peters
In 1 John 4:1 we are entreated to take the opportunity to test spirits (thoughts) and to do that we must know the Spirit of God because there are many false prophets in the world (people projecting and professing false thoughts). The Spirit of God empowers us (Zechariah 4:6) beyond our human factor to become as He is and to stand in His strength and power (Ephesians 6:10).
God assesses before He allows us to increase our capacity. By our tests and trials, we establish a baseline for our capability (1 Peter 1:7-9), this is a measurement showing how much we can handle. We tend to want more than we have the capacity to handle because we don't like proving ourselves to God (1 Timothy 2:15). Hebrews 3:7-10 provides us with a declaration that pushes the objective of a missed opportunity because while in the wilderness, God proved himself for 40yrs and they still missed it.
With capacity, we show God that we can contain something larger than what we thought we could handle when the opportunity shows up. Can He trust us the big stuff that we so desperately want? There is nothing like showing Daddy, we got this! Tell yourself, I got this!
Acts 4:12
Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
The God of Glory, El Hakabodh (Psalm 29:3), we thank You for our salvation where opportunity meets capacity. We praise You for the constant growth of our spiritual maturity. We decree and declare blessings upon those who hear the Name given among all men, so that; by the revealed Word we lead the lost to the foot of the cross and are saved. Now, for the Kingdom and the Glory of God, we petition, with anointing in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Savior, Amen.
